Forest Meadows

Across a creek from the Conlan Recreation Center is a beautiful green open field that we call Forest Meadows. Forest Meadows contains the playing fields for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams, the Men’s Lacrosse team, and the Women’s Tennis team. A heavily used field, the field is currently in the planning stages to be expanded to also include a home playing field for the Women’s Softball team. Across from the athletic fields is the final stop all Dominican students make before they bid the University farewell, the Forest Meadows Amphitheater.

Forest Meadows Amphitheater

The beautiful sunken amphitheater is the final stage Dominican students perform on before their final departure from the University. Every year in May, Commencement is held at the Forest Meadows Amphitheater. Hundreds of Dominican graduates walk across the stage at Forest Meadows to receive their diplomas. Besides May’s Commencement activities, during the fall, the Marin Shakespeare Festival uses Forest Meadows for its productions, and have been doing so since 1967.
