On Saturday, April 29, 2000, Dominican opened the doors to the newly completed recreation center named in honor of the fifth president of the University, Sister Samuel Conlan, O.P. The Conlan Recreation Center houses regulation basketball and volleyball courts, a fitness center, a multipurpose room (great for aerobic, self-defense, and yoga classes), and a swimming pool. Since opening its doors in spring of 2000, the Conlan Recreation Center has quickly gained the reputation as being one of the finest small recreation facilities in Northern California.
