Angelico Hall

Built in 1922, this exquisite four-story buildings name alludes to Saint Thomas Aquinas, a 13th century Dominican academic and theologian who was known as the “Angelic Doctor.” Besides its outside architectural beauty, internally there are sound-resistant practice rooms and the Angelico Concert Hall.

Angelico Concert Hall

The 850-seat concert hall was designed as a music conservatory. Angelico Concert Hall has hosted many guest lectures such as physicist and string theorist, Brian Greene, leadership luminary and author of seven books, Parker J. Palmer, and most recently, ach.jpgactress, author, and philanthropist Jane Fonda. Today, Angelico Concert Hall is one of the Bay Area's best concert and lecture venues.

Besides lectures, Angelico Concert Hall has also featured:

  • The first ever Marin County appearance by the San Francisco Symphony in 1926
  • The first production (outside of Paris) of “The Ballet of Joy,” by Alfred Heil in 1929
  • “The Wedding Cantana” by Bach played for the first time in America in 1930
